About Ideal User Interfaces

Ideal User Interfaces is an AI interface reviewer in design. Ideal User Interfaces is in design. The AI review is not available yet; the contrast checker works today.

What it will do

Check a screen against published standards, WCAG 2.2 for accessibility, Nielsen’s ten usability heuristics and the dark patterns named by Australian consumer research, and pin each problem to the screen with the rule it breaks.

What it is not

It is not a replacement for testing with real people, and it has no customers yet. It is not affiliated with any tool named in its guides; no tool pays to be listed.

The old address

Ideal User Interfaces is a new project with no link to the former owner of idealhub.com.au.

Who writes the guides

Priya Calder is the pen name of the site’s editor. Each guide names its sources. The publication uses AI-assisted drafting and source review; the guides do not claim personal tests of every product or a conformance certification.
